Admissions criteria
The Master of Science in Banking and Finance is designed for highly dedicated people willing to pursue a challenging career in the financial sector.
• The programme accepts strongly motivated individuals
• Admission will be based on individual assessment and a personal interview
• To be eligible, you need to have 240 ECTS credits (the equivalent of a Master degree) or a Bachelor degree with 3 years of professional experience post studies.
• As the language of instruction at LSF is English, participants are expected to have a good command of the language
Tuition Fees and Funding
Tuition fees for either the full-time or part-time programme amount to 17,500 EUR. This amount includes the inscription to the residential academic week at the New York University Stern School of Business (courses and hotel).
Part time students are usually either self-financed or company sponsored. Self-financing students may benefit from financial assistance (loans, refunds) by the CEDIES (Centre de documentation et d’information sur l’enseignement supérieur, Luxembourg).
Some scholarships for deserving full-time candidates are available by the LSF Foundation. Clearly indicate your request in your cover letter as well as tick the appropriate field in the application form you submit. Please note these are partial scholarships however and do not cover any part of the living expenses you would need (roughly 900 EUR/month with student housing provided).
The Luxembourg Association for Risk Management Professionals (PRiM) provides an annual scholarship of €3 000 to an LSF student interested in the area of Risk Management. This is open to both full time and part time students who are residents of Luxembourg and the Greater Region.
The Luxembourg Association of Compliance Officers (ALCO) also provides an annual of €3 000 to an LSF student interested in the area of Compliance. This is equally open to full time and part time students who are residants of Luxembourg and the Greater Region.
