Mr Julian Presber
Mr. Julian Presber joins the LSF as Coordinator of Relations with the Financial Market, on a half-time basis. He was previously engaged in a distinguished career in banking, lastly as Managing Director at State Street Bank Luxembourg S.A. Mr. Presber earned a MBA degree from INSEAD. In the time he is not at the LSF, he is working towards a PhD degree at the International School of Management in Paris. Mr. Presber is and was involved in numerous professional activities for bodies such as ABBL, ALFI, COBMA and CSSF. He is a German as well as a Canadian citizen.

Prof. Christian Wolff from Maastricht University named Director of the Luxembourg School of Finance
Luxembourg, 21 July 2008 - Dutchman Christian Wolff, Professor of Finance at Maastricht University, is to be the new Director of the “Luxembourg School of Finance“ (LSF) of the University of Luxembourg. This decision was taken by the University’s Board of Governors during its last meeting. Prof. Dr. Christian Wolff, 49, replaces Prof. Dr. Pierre-Armand Michel, whose mandate runs out at the end of the year and who reaches retirement age. The new director will take up his post in November 2008. He will also be appointed Professor of Finance at the University of Luxembourg.
Prof. Dr. Christian Wolff received his MBA and PhD degrees in International Finance from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago. He was previously employed at the London Business School, has taught in various universities around the world and has held visiting appointments, among others, at the University of Chicago, The National University of Singapore and INSEAD in France. Christian Wolff has published in leading academic journals, is a Research Fellow of the „Centre for Economic Policy Research“ in London and programme director at the „Amsterdam Institute of Finance“. He founded and built the finance group at Maastricht University. Throughout his career, Prof. Wolff has maintained close ties with the financial sector. He has served on boards of financial firms and acted as consultant to financial institutions and governments, both in Europe and beyond. His focus in these assignments is on risk management and on fund management for investment funds, hedge funds and pension funds.
Rector Rolf Tarrach and André Prüm, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance, thanked the new director of the "Luxembourg School of Finance“ for his faith in the young University of Luxembourg and wished him good luck for this new challenge.
