2009

On May 23 the Luxembourg School of Finance celebrated its 5th anniversary and the official inauguration of its new offices in the k2-Building, Luxembourg-Kirchberg. More than 170 guests took part in the event, among others the Minister of Culture, Higher Education and Research, François Biltgen, the Minister for the Treasury and Budget, Luc Frieden, as well as mayor Paul Helminger, rector Rolf Tarrach, the dean André Prüm, the president of the LSF foundation Lucien Thiel, the LSF staff, UL representatives, students and many representatives from banks and financial institutions. A graduation ceremony for 29 new graduates took place after the celebration.

The Class of 2008 have very very fond memories of their time in New York at the Stern School of Buisness. To thank Professor Gruber for having welcomed them in the Big Apple and having helped many of them with their Master Theses, students planned a night out when he came back to visit to visit us in Luxembourg this summer to teach at the LSF. This was also a good opportunity to thank our dear Academic Director, Professor Michel for all the efforts he has equally made on behalf of the students.
